Arthur J. King, 73, Rockwood, died Oct. 7, 2012 at his home. He was born March 11, 1939 in Upper Turkeyfoot Township, a son of Ray S. and Bertha L. (Schmuck) King. His parents; brothers, Harold, Charles Vann and George Lester; and sister, Betty Hartline preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, Sharron (Weimer); son, Gregory and wife, Carey Beth, Markleton; daughter, Julie Sleasman and husband, Brent, Erie; grandchildren: Natalie and Kaitlyn King, and Zoe, Dahelson and Ella Sleasman; sister, Margie Vought and husband Charles, Colden, N.Y.; and brother, Larry King and wife, Sue, Markleysburg; also, numerous nieces and nephews. Art was a member of the Kingwood Church of God and a retired member of Carpenters Union Local 2276. He loved to hunt, fish, farm and talk. Friends will be received from 2 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Humbert Funeral Home in Confluence. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Kingwood Church of God with the Rev. James Monticue and the Rev. Paul Tobias officiating. Interment will follow in Wesley Chapel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to Adopt-A-Cabin Fund, Camp Sonrise Mountain, c/o Kingwood Church of God, 118 Humbert Road, Markleton, PA 15551.
