Janet A. Hemming, 90, of Berlin, formerly of Somerset, died on Oct. 7, 2012 at Meadowview Nursing Center. Born July 1, 1922 in Bedford County, she is the daughter of the late Harry and Mary (Lowry) Young. She is also preceded in death by her husband James in 1974; daughters Mary Jean Nicklow and Judy Sleasman; son Harry James Hemming; sister Ada Gerhart; brothers Clyde, George, Robert, and Samuel Young; and a great-grandchild. Janet is survived by her daughter Nancy Romesberg and husband William of Berlin; son Dennis Hemming of Belsano; 14 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and sister Stella Swauger of Grantsville, Md. She enjoyed camping and crocheting, and was a member of the sweet Sixties group in Somerset. Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at Miller Funeral Home and Crematory, Somerset, with a service to follow at 1 p.m., the Rev. Barry Ritenour officiating.
