Earl L. Pyle, 83, of Somerset, passed on Nov. 3, 2012. Born July 22, 1929 in Somerset, he is the son of the late Leonard and Nellie (Swank) Pyle. He is also preceded in death by his wife Alma in 1986; and several brothers and sisters. Earl is survived by his children: Gary Pyle and wife Esther of Winchester, Va.; Earl L. Pyle II of Somerset; Eric Baggett and wife Linda of Ashville, N.C.; Kory Pyle and wife Debbie of Newport News, Va.; Dara Yoder and husband Dwight of Jennerstown; and Arla Holec and husband Ed of Newport News, Va.; grandchildren: Christine, Melissa, Stephen, Leslie, Angie, Lynn, Brandy, Sonya, Matthew, Michelle and Kathleen; two great-grandchildren; and brothers and sisters: Gerald Pyle, Laverne Forney, Esther Pyle and Dorothy Green, all of Somerset. Earl was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the Somerset American Legion and the Somerset VFW. He was a retired cement truck driver for New Enterprise. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Miller Funeral Home and Crematory, Somerset, where a service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday. Pastor Charles Kelly officiating.
