Freda J. Watkins, 74, of Somerset, went to be with The Lord June 19, 2012, at Meadow View Nursing Center in Berlin. Born March 4, 1938, in Somerset, she is the daughter of the late Conrad and Leora (Hoffman) Kelly. She is also preceded in death by her husband Lester in 2010; son Scott Steven Watkins in 1987; infant granddaughter Anna; and infant brother Albert. Freda is survived by her sons David and wife Nancy of Friedens, Jeffrey and wife Darlene of Friedens, and Blaine and wife Brenda of Central City; daughter Beth Meyers and husband Doug of Fairhope; grandchildren Steven Watkins and wife Rikki, Joseph Watkins and wife Amanda, Sara Watkins and Grace Meyers; great-grandchildren Abigail, Scott, Eden and Elyse; sisters Minnie and Shirley; and brothers Elwood and Paul. Freda was affiliated with the Berachah Baptist Church in Somerset. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, and reading the Bible. Her life was a great inspiration to all who knew her. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Miller Funeral Home and Crematory, Somerset. A service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Berachah Baptist Church with one hour of visitation prior to the service, pastor Dale Lyzbicki officiating. Interment at Sipesville Cemetery.
