Calvin C. Cramer, 86, Rockwood, went to be with the Lord on June 8, 2012, while at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born Sept. 6, 1925, in Casselman, a son of Charles N. and Jennie (Mitchell) Cramer. His parents, brothers, Charles S. Cramer, Sheldon Cramer and sister-in-law Lorena Cramer preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Janie (Hay) Cramer; daughters: Sandra Rager and husband Robert, Torrence, Jenny Kaufman and husband James, and Rebecca Hayman and husband Terry, all of Rockwood; five grandchildren: Jeff Sterner and wife Shannon, Kimberly Gindlesperger and husband Doug, Justin Hayman and wife Heather, Kelly Taylor and Bobbi Jo Rager; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and a sister-in-law Martha Cramer. Calvin was a rural mail carrier until his retirement in 1985. He attended Laurel Mountain Chapel, Trent, and was a longtime member of the Ursina American Legion and the Marine Corps League of Somerset. H proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II. He dearly loved his little dog, Button, and was an avid outdoorsman and woodworker for many years. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Humbert Funeral Home, Confluence, where a service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday with Pastor Don Judy officiating. Interment in Kingwood IOOF Cemetery with full military rites provided by the Somerset County Honor Guard.
