Ruth Jane Byers, 87, Somerset, died Dec. 1, 2012. at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown. Born Sept. 6, 1925, in Pittsburgh, daughter of Kramer Harold and Laura May (Peters) Byers. Preceded in death by parents, husband James Howard Byers who died Aug. 2, 2002. Survived by daughters: Ms. Ruth Joan Byers of Pittsburgh, Nancy Lehman and husband William L. of Somerset; grandson: William J. Lehman married to the former Denise Schall of Bowling Green, Ohio. Ruth is a graduate of Carrick High School in Pittsburgh. She worked until her retirement as Director for both the Somerset County Library and the Mary S. Biesecker Library. She was a member of St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church and the Somerset Historical Society. Friends received 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset, where services will be conducted 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012, with the Rev. Roger L.
