Mary Louise Cain Hall, 88, formerly of Confluence

Mary Louise Cain Hall, 88, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012, in West Palm Beach Fla. She is the daughter of the late Fred and Pearl (McConnell) Cain, Clinton. She was preceded in death by siblings: Thelma Reckner, Betty Wiles, and Kenny Cain; and one grandson, Stoney Grimes. She is survived by her husband, Irving C Hall; children: Fred A Hall and wife Nancy, Pisgah Forest, N.C., Marty Landau and husband Cal, Palm Beach, Fla., and Bill Grimes and wife Laura, Clarksville, Tenn.; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; a sister, Donna Rooker, Imboden, Ark.; and a brother, Harold Cain, Clinton. Mary was born Dec. 10, 1924, at home near Raccoon State Park, Beaver County, Clinton. She graduated from West Allegheny High School, Imperial, and began work with the Pa. Railroad in Pittsburgh. After marriage on Feb. 24, 1947, she became a housewife in Georgetown. She moved to Confluence in 1960 and after her husband's retirement in 1980, moved to Quaker City, Ohio. She was a life member of DAR and enjoyed many craft hobbies, Ladies Aid Society, Garden Club and canning fruit and vegetables from her large garden. She was faithful to attend church and supported her husband in service in the church and community. She enjoyed being a snowbird from Quaker City, Ohio, to Sebring, Fla., for 25 years. The funeral service will be at the gravesite at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 17, at Richland Cemetery along Shannon Road in Quaker City, by Thorn-Black Funeral Home.
