Charles Edward Hauger, 71, of Somerset, died Jan. 2, 2013 at Siemons Lakeview Manor Estate, Somerset. Born Nov. 27, 1941 in Somerset, the son of William Charles and Josephine Marie (Rogala-Deitz) Hauger. Preceded in death by parents and nephew, Luke J. Fieg. Survived by wife, the former Arlene Fay Zimmerman, to whom he was married 46 years; sisters and brother: Elaine Fritz and husband Allen C.; Kathleen Fieg and husband Scott; Kenneth Hauger and wife Kirsten; nieces and nephews: Kristy Hoover and husband Jarod; Kayla Lensbouer and husband Josh; Lori Kent and husband Eric; Lisa Fieg; Brian Fritz and wife Amanda; Barry Fritz and wife Lisa; Kordell Hauger; uncles: Stanley Rogala and wife Erika; Harold Sheeler; sisters-in-law: Beulah Yusko and husband Edward; Etta Zimmerman; Betty Schwab and husband John; brother-in-law: Elwood Zimmerman and wife Evelyn; also his best friend and buddy Ross P. McClemmens, and various cousins, nieces and nephews. Charles is a 1959 graduate of Somerset High School and a U.S. Navy veteran where he served three years and was stationed in Newfoundland. He worked until his retirement in 2009 as a welder for Weimer’s Blacksmith and Welding shop. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset, where services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Eric Raygor officiating.
