Barbara Jean Henry, 69, Trent, passed on Monday, Jan. 7, 2013, after courageously battling a long illness, at “House of Journey’s Rest” In Touch Hospice House in Somerset. Born Dec. 21, 1943, to the late Steve and Dorothy (Kisner) Lasko. She is also preceded in death by her sisters Pamela Phillippi of Glencoe, Shirley Knecht of Somerset, and Patricia Beck of Rockwood; sister-in-law Shielda (Miller) Henry; and brothers-in-law Ern Legas and Archie Henry. Barbara is survived by her beloved husband Howard L. “Baby” Henry; daughter Rhonda L. Henry-Gribble and husband Todd of Somerset; granddaughter Colby LaRae (Gribble) DeLano and husband Aaron; grandson Kendall Todd Gribble; brothers and sisters in-law Bessie (Henry) Legas of Westminster, Md., Sanford “Mummy” Henry and wife Doris and Leland Henry, both of Rockwood; aunts Betty Beggs and husband James and Lola Kisner; numerous nieces and nephews; and special neighbors Mid and Donnie Pritts of Trent. Barbara worked for many years at Somerset Community Hospital, the A.W. Francis Co., and DeVilbiss. She loved spending time with her husband, daughter, and especially her grandchildren. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Miller Funeral Home and Crematory, Somerset, where a service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, pastor Homer Painter officiating.
