Betty Mae (Williams) Watson, 92, of Friedens, died Friday, Jan. 11, 2013 at In Touch Hospice in Somerset. Born Nov. 20, 1920 in McKeesport, a daughter of the late William J. Williams and Grace A. Jones Williams (Erickson). In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death her daughter: Lonna L. (Watson) Benn, wife of David A. Benn currently of Shelbyville, Ky.; brothers: Norman, Leslie and Kenneth Williams. She was a member of the McKeesport Alliance Church. Surviving are her husband: Thomas H. Watson to whom she was married on June 27, 1941 in North Huntingdon; grandchildren: Dana L. Benn of Friedens; Melissa M. (Benn) Yachere, wife of Rick L. Yachere of Friedens; Thomas W. Benn, husband of Renee D. (Simpson) Benn of Finleyville; great-grandchildren: Megan L. Yachere, Katelyn B. Yachere. Ryan D. Yachere and Allana D. Benn. Friends will be received on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the McKeesport Alliance Church, 938 Summit Street, McKeesport, PA 15132, where a funeral service will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Marty Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Jefferson Memorial Park, Pleasant Hills. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to The Gideons International, 321 Pennwood Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15221.
