Eleanor Ann "Dolly" Brant, 75, of Somerset, died Jan. 13, 2013 at Select Specialty Hospital, Johnstown. Born March 16, 1937 in Stonycreek Township, the daughter of Robert Oscar Sr. and Irma Fay (Sanner) Carlson. Preceded in death by parents; brother, Robert Carlson Jr. and sister, Marjorie Carol Carlson. Survived by husband, Harvey George Brant, to whom she was married 59 years; children: Anna Smith and husband Sylvester of Tampa, Fla.; Harvey G. Brant Jr., married to the former Rhonda Bucy of Berlin; Carla Brant and fiance, Vincent Pirl, of Mill Run; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; brother and sister, Barry Carlson and wife Sandy of Rockwood; Dorothy Dwire of LaVale, Md. Dolly worked as a steward for VFW Post 554 for 28 years, also as a dietary aid for the Somerset County Jail and Easy Living Estates. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post 554 and FOE Aerie 1801. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset, where services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, the Rev.
