Wayne M. Singo, 87, of Hunker died Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013, in Weatherwood Manor. He was born Thursday, Sept. 17, 1925, in Somerset County, son of the late Dorsey Singo and the late Erma Blanche Ream. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II He was a member of St. Marks Lutheran Church, former member of Samuels Lutheran Church, former president New Stanton Fait Board. He retired from Charley Bros. Surviving are: his wife, Betty (Weyand) Singo; and two children Randy L. Singo and wife Jeffie of New Enterprise; Susan Sheetz and husband Timothy of Hookstown; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a brother Teddy Singo and wife Arlene of Rockwood. He was preceded in death by two children, Karen and Ricky Singo, foster daughter Carol Musgrove, two brothers Robert Singo, Oran Singo, a sister Nelma Jacobs. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16 at the at the C. Richard McCauley Funeral Home, Inc., Youngwood, Pa. Additional viewing will be held Thursday, Jan. 17 from 10:30 to 11 a.m. Services will be held at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013 at 11 a.m. with Rev David Clement officiating. Interment will follow in the Samuels Lutheran Cemetery Lavansville . Contributions may be made to the St. Mark’s or UPMC Senior communities.
