Cindy Mae (Soakie) Gassner, 49, of Rockwood, passed away, Monday, Jan. 28, 2013, at her residence. Born Dec. 12, 1963, in Sharon, she was the daughter of Ruth Cannon, Masury, Ohio, and the late, John Andrew Soakie. She was also preceded in death by a nephew, Jeffrey Rueberger. She is survived by loving daughter, Crystal Rugg Farkosh, Confluence, and grandchildren, Zachary, Madalynn and Andrew Farkosh; a brother, Andrew Soakie, Warren; three sisters, Yvonne Rueberger, West Middlesex; Dawn Totten, Masury; Jayne Cannon, Farrell; a special friend, Bill Kelly, Rockwood and numerous nieces and nephews. Ms. Gassner was a homemaker and a member of the Rockwood American Legion. She enjoyed bingo and fishing with her daughter and most of all, spending time with her grandkids. A memorial service will be held at the United Community Church of God, Ursina, on Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Dean Hay, Jr. officiating.
