Mrs. Eleanor G. Gasper, 90, Richland, died Jan. 28, 2013, at Maplewinds Nursing Care Center, Portage. Born March 25, 1922, in Jenner Township. Daughter of Daniel W. and Grace B. (Schmucker) Lambert. Preceded in death by parents, husband William Sr., brothers John, Lester, Milton Louis, and sister Betty Albright and five faithful Boston terriers. Survived by children Sharon, wife of William Spinazzola, Fairfax Station, Va., and William C. Jr., married to the former Kathie Wareham, Hollidaysburg. Also step-grandchildren Elizabeth, wife of Kurt Vines and Erica and Hannah Bennett. Also numerous nieces and nephews. Member Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, Richland. Eleanor was a graduate of Somerset High School Class of 1940. Formerly employed by Penn Traffic, Buley Patterson, and retired from the Pennsylvania Railroad. She enjoyed walking with her husband and dog at Windber Recreational Park, she also enjoyed baking, shopping, playing the organ, and going on cruises. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Meek & Dalla Valle Funeral Home Inc., Windber, and from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Saturday at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church. Rev. Scott Custead, officiating. Entombment Richland Mausoleum. Memorials may be made to the Humane Society in memory of Eleanor.
