Elma L. Durst, 85, Meyersdale, died Feb. 15, 2013, at home. Born April 18, 1927, in Grantsville, Md., the daughter of the late John A. and Savilla (Bittinger) Butler. Preceded in death by husband Ralph J. Durst; infant son Larry; sisters: Olive Vought, Lottie Mathias, Beulah Tressler, Melda Butler, Viola Hutzel, Ida Reckner and Pearl Show; brothers: John Butler, Alton Butler and Mark Butler. Survived by her son James W. Durst and wife Shelley, Meyersdale; daughter Vickie Burns and husband Kenneth, Ebensburg; grandchildren, Shawna Lepley and husband David, and Amy Durst; great-granddaughter: Allyson Lepley; and sister Evelyn Hudachek, Carmichaels. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Elma was a member of Meyersdale Church of the Brethren where she was active in “Kids Klub.” She was also involved with many numerous organizations in the area. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale, where service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, with Pastor Pete Kaltenbaugh officiating. Interment Grantsville Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given in her name to the “Kids Klub” c/o Meyersdale Church of the Brethren, 9 Beachley St., Meyersdale, PA 15552.
