Jean E. (Miller) Orban, 91, Greensburg, died March 15, 2013, in Westmoreland Manor, Greensburg. She was born April 2, 1921, in Roaring Spring, a daughter of the late Ralph E. and Lillian B. Miller. Prior to her retirement she had been a pharmacist apprentice for Lambert Pharmacy, Roaring Spring, and later a school crossing guard for 21 years. She was a member of St. Bruno Catholic Church, South Greensburg, the VFW Post 33 Ladies Auxiliary of Greensburg and was past president of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary District 23. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William S. Orban on March 8, 1983. She is survived by her daughter, Stephanie Cavanaugh, Greensburg; and her granddaughter, Bonnieanne (Orban) Cavanaugh, Pittsburgh. Friends will be received from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in the Leo M. Bacha Funeral Home Inc., 516 Stanton at Green Streets, Greensburg. Prayers at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home followed by a funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10 a.m. in St. Bruno Catholic Church, South Greensburg, with the Rev. Martin R. Bartel, OSB, as celebrant. Interment will follow in Somerset County Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Bruno Catholic Church, 1715 Poplar St., Greensburg, PA 15601. The VFW Ladies Auxiliary will hold a service at 4:30 p.m. Monday in the funeral home. The Legion of Mary, Our Lady of Perpetual Help of St. Bruno Church will pray the Rosary at 6:30 p.m. Monday in the funeral home. www.bachafuneralhomeinc.com
