Paul J. Peck, 102, of Springs

Paul J. Peck, 102, of Springs, died Sunday, March 24, 2013, at Golden Living Center, Meyersdale. Born Aug. 31, 1910, in Fort Hill, he was the son of the late Jonas and Mary (Reitz) Peck. He was also preceded in death by two wives, Lola (Livengood) Peck and Edna (Geiger) Otto Peck; a son, Gale Peck; a daughter, Carolyn Peck and a step-son, Glen Otto. Mr. Peck was a self-employed milk hauler for 30 years. He was a member of Maple Glen Church of the Brethren, where he was also a deacon and a member of the Pennsylvania Association of Retarded Children. He is survived by two sons, Ronal Peck and wife, Rebecca, Springs; Terry Peck and wife, Velma, Goshen, Ind.; a daughter, Sharon Hahn, Auburn, Ind.; two step-sons, Chester Otto and wife, Janet, Accident, Md.; Blair Otto and wife, LouAnn, Berlin; a step-daughter, Gloria Borton, Albuquerque, N.M.; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 179 Miller St., Grantsville, Md., on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be conducted in the funeral home on Thursday, March 28, 2013, at 11  a.m. with Rev. Daniel Whitacre officiating. Interment will be in the Maple Glen Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be directed to the Maple Glen Church of the Brethren.
