Roland Duane (Sike) Gomer, 61, Meyersdale, died April 4, 2013 at Martinsburg VA Hospital. Born in Meyersdale, March 24, 1952 to the late George T. and Catherine (Geiger) Gomer. Preceded in death by his brother, George "Bud" Gomer. Survived by his sons: Roland "Duane" Gomer Jr. and his wife Crista of Bedford; Jordon Baker of Mt. Savage; daughters: Tina Doman and her husband Matthew of LaVale, Md.; Nanette Johnson and her husband Doug of Wellersburg; Monica Wilson and her finance Steve Troutman of Meyersdale; sisters: Audrey (Les) Beeman of Wellersburg; Bonita Lepley of Wellersburg; and Zona (Sonny) Murphy of Ohio; many nieces and nephews; a very dear and special friend Bev Resh. Roland was a United States Marine. Sike was known by many as Mountain-man, Big Stick, and Big Daddy. He loved to ride his Harley and loved his Ford Truck. Friends will be received on Sunday, April 7 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the M. Ray Leckemby Funeral Home in Meyersdale. Funeral Service will be held on Monday April 8, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the M. Ray Leckemby Funeral Home with Pastor Connie Garlick officiating. Interment to follow at the White Oak Cemetery.
