Inez V. Pero, 83, of Somerset, died Aug. 25, 2012 at Meadowview Nursing Center. Born Aug. 16, 1929, in Stenico, Italy, she is the daughter of the late Mario J. and Santina (Pinchetti) Betta. Also preceded in death by her husband, Andrew T. Pero Sr. and a brother Mario. Survived by a son, Andrew A. Pero of Somerset; granddaughters: Samantha and Kassandra Pero. Sister of Aldo Betta; Alice Bowers; Joe Betta; Virginia Betta, all of Somerset; and Lydia Peiffer of Hershey. Member of St. Peter's Catholic Church and was formerly employed at Dorfman-Hoffman Sewing Factory and the Somerset School cafeteria. She was a 25-year member of the Dollar-A-Month Club for Mount St. Ann's. Friends received from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home . A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Peter's Catholic Church with Father Daniel J. O'Neill, celebrant. Committal in Somerset County Memorial Park.
