Alfred "Nun" Phillips, Jr., 80, of Stoystown (Kimmelton) died April 15, 2013, at Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown. Born May 27, 1932, in Kimmelton, son of Alfred Sr. and Marion (Shaffer) Phillips. Preceded in death by parents, wife the former Mary Louise Dimanno, son Rodney, brothers Clyde and Floyd, and sisters Dorothy and Hazel. Survived by son Jeffrey L. married to the former Andrea Lynn Shontofski, Stoystown; granddaughter: Tiffany Lynn; sister: Betty Beal, Somerset; sisters-in-law: Jean and Kathryn Phillips, both of Stoystown, and Betty Dimanno, Texas; close friend: Fran Pugh, Ralphton; and numerous nieces and nephews. A 1950 graduate of Shanksville-Stonycreek High School and Korean War Army Veteran. Retired from Mayfair Creamery, Somerset. Member of Mostoller United Methodist Church where he served as church treasurer for many years. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown.
