Elma Mae (Hershberger) Yoder, 84, Davidsville

Elma Mae (Hershberger) Yoder, 84, Davidsville, went peacefully to be with the Lord April 25, 2013, surrounded by her loving family at Hopedale Hospital, Hopedale, Ill. Born Sept. 11, 1928, in Thomas Mills, daughter of William and Katie (Thomas) Hershberger. Preceded in death by parents and infant daughter, Connie Faye. Survived by husband of 63 years, Noah E. Yoder; and these children: Richard (Diane), Boswell, Joyce, Johnstown, Diana Pritts, Remington, Va., Cynthia (Brian) Litwiller, Delavan, Ill., Ronald (Susan), Boswell, Gloria (Craig) Kleman, Middletown, Va., Darlene (Rodney) Lough, Indian Head, Md., and Marie (William) Kisiel, Windber; grandchildren: Reubon and Aaron Yoder and Katie Thomas, Darci Lesure and Daphne Pribble, Marci Waters, Benjamin, Rosie, and Noah Litwiller, Kayla and Kelly Yoder, Malinda and Nicole Kleman, Douglas Lough, and Amanda and Steven Kisiel; and 14 great-grandchildren.  Also survived by sister Esther, wife of the late David W. Yoder, Davidsville; and numerous nieces and nephews. Elma was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was an accomplished seamstress, and was famous for her coconut cream pies. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, and her flower gardens. Member of Scalp Level Trinity United Methodist Church, Windber, and former member of Seanor Mennonite Church for over 45 years. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the William Kisiel Funeral Home, Graham Avenue and 11th Street, Windber. Friends also received from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. Friday at Blough Mennonite Church, Woodstown Highway, Hollsopple, PA 15935. The Revs. Wayne Lasure and Wesley Yoder, officiating. Interment Blough Mennonite Cemetery.
