Ruth R. Harvey, 86, of Somerset, died May 7, 2013, at Somerset Hospital. Born Feb. 14, 1927, in Chalfant, she is the daughter of the late Paul S. and Rosella (Touissant) Eckenrod. Also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Thomas Harvey and a sister Ethel Litzinger. Survived by a son, Robert P. Harvey and wife Sherry of Houston, Texas, grandchildren: Adam and Dereck Harvey and two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Ruth was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church, where she was active and volunteered for many years and also volunteered at Meals On Wheels. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Father Daniel O’Neil celebrant. Committal in Somerset County Memorial Park.
