Donald Ray Dickey, 78, of Somerset, died May 14, 2013, at his home. Born Oct. 21, 1934, in Black Twp., son of Francis Russell and Mary Ellen (Youler) Dickey. Preceded in death by parents, son-in-law Gunter Stehr; brothers Harry D. Dickey, Robert E. Dickey Sr., Francis J. Dickey, and step mother Leora G. (Tinkey) Kelly-Dickey. Survived by wife the former Mildred Marie Long to whom he was married 57 years; children: Allen Dickey, and Brian Dickey of Somerset; Christine Faircloth and husband Bob of Berlin; Kathleen Stehr of Shanksville; Laura Dickey of Somerset; grandchildren: Jason Dickey and wife Nicole of Pittsburgh; Brandon Dickey of Somerset; Amanda Stehr of Shanksville; Robert Faircloth of Germany; Heather Faircloth of Berlin; great-grandson Connor. Sister Helen Hoyman of Berlin. Donald is a 1953 graduate of Rockwood High School. He worked until his retirement as a Master Service Technician for Agway with 25 years of service. He later worked as a driver for the Somerset County Bookmobile. Donald loved hunting, trout fishing, and the outdoors. He enjoyed golfing and spending time with his family. Friends received 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset , and one hour prior to the service at the church which will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday, May 17, 2013, at Milford United Methodist Church, Somerset, with the Rev.
