Clyde R. Walker, 84, Somerset, died May 19, 2013 at Siemon’s Lakeview Manor. Born Aug. 25, 1928, in Somerset Township, he is the son of the late Russell F. and Enola (Fritz) Walker. Also preceded in death by a brother Glenn M. Walker. Survived by his wife, Elda (Tipton) Walker, children: Ronald R. Walker and wife Rhonda of Greensburg, Joyce Ann Burton and husband Chuck of Denver, Colo., and stepdaughter, Linda Berkley and husband Doug of Somerset. Grandchildren: Jessica Schultz and husband Jason, Samantha Bell and husband Aaron, Brandee McNeilly, Karissa Skiba and husband David, Matthew Walker and wife Lauren and Leslie Burton. Five great-grandchildren, stepgrandchildren; Doug Berkley and wife Heidieand Brad Berkley and wife Robin and one stepgreat-grandchild. Brother of Ray M. Walker and wife Anna of Somerset, Ethel Riordan of Harrisburgand Thelma Fritz and husband Carl of Somerset. Also a numberof nieces and nephews. Clyde was an active member of the First Christian Church of Somerset, member of the Teamsters Local and a 1945 graduate of Somerset High School. He and his wife volunteered for Meals On Wheels and he enjoyed going to the monthly truckers lunches, gardening, bowling, square dancing and traveling. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home, where services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday with Rev. Samuel Draper officiating.
