Anita K. Swartzwelder, 88, Central City, died June 11, 2013, at Windber Medical Center. Born April 28, 1925, in Kimmelton, daughter of George C. and Naomi (Berkebile) DeArmitt. Preceded in death by parents; brothers, Melvin, Benjamin, Donald and Roger; sisters, Marjorie Brant, Beatrice and Evelyn. Survived by husband, George Edward; sons, Richard (Teri Taylor), Cairnbrook; and Dennis (Terry Figmick), Clyde, N.C.; grandchildren, Lisa (Scott) Patterson, Bowie, Md.; Lynn (Toby) Trexler, Valdosta, Ga.; Todd Swartzwelder, Glen Burnie, Md.; and Katie Swartzwelder, Waynesville, N.C.; great-grandchildren, Dakota, Haley and Logan Trexler. Sister of Myrtle Carmany, Central City; Faye (Patrick) Ibinson and Mary Jane (Floyd) Brant, both of Somerset. Anita worked at the Dorfman Hoffman Sewing Factory. She was a member of Graef Lutheran Church, Cairnbrook. Family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Mulcahy Funeral Home, Central City. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Graef Lutheran Church, Pastor Lois Ryan officiating. Interment, Shade Church Cemetery.
