Dennis Franklin Caola, 63, Central City, died July 12, 2013, at home. Born March 16, 1950, in Johnstown, son of the late Joseph R. and Mary Kathryn (Simpson) Caola. Survived by wife, former Karen Nussrallah; children, Sheldon Ulevich (Paige), Woodbridge, Va., Major Jarrad S., USMC (Caroline), Camp Lejeune, N.C.; Jesse N., wife of Denis Hodar, Washington, D.C., and Dennis R. Caola, Woodbridge; also survived by grandchildren: Kathryn Louise, Avery Simpson, Lauren Ann and Casey Jean Caola; and a number of nieces and nephews. Brother of Joseph D. Caola and wife, former Nancy LeRoy, Hollsopple, James R. Caola, Philadelphia, Karen E. (Caola) Williams, wife of Ralph, Lancaster. Graduate of Jenner Boswell Joint High School and West Virginia University. Retired co-owner of J & D Mining. Also kept busy working at Suds & More in Central City. Member of Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Church, St. John the Baptist Society, Central City American Legion and VFW. Member of the Central City Water Authority Board. Was a descendant of the Trentino Region of Italy. Was an avid golfer, gardener, excellent cook and trivia master. He was a wonderful husband, father, brother and neighbor and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday at Mulcahy Funeral Home, Central City. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Fr. Maurizio. Committal, St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Central City.
