Catherine E. Corbett, 94, of Stoystown, died June 10, 2012, at Somerset In Touch Hospice House of Journeys Rest. Born July 16, 1917, in Quemahoning Township, daughter of George and Martha (Ringler) Custer. Preceded in death by parents, husband Lloyd J., son James, grandson James Jr., and son in law Robert Dill. Survived by daughters: Elaine Dill, Bellwood, and Sarah married to Millard “Mike” Swank, Indian Lake. Daughter-in-law: Cathie (Maluchnick) Corbett, Stoystown; grandchildren: Cathy (Andy) Walter, Kimberly (Brian) Joyce, Pam (Scott) Dinner, Scott Swank, and Cole James Corbett; step-grandchildren: Holly (Gary) Kroon and Lou Benny; and seven great-grandchildren. A 1935 graduate of Stoystown High School. Retired after 24 years from Somerset State Hospital. Member of Grace Lutheran Church, Stoystown, and Stoyestown Area Historical Society. Former member of Forbes Area Senior Citizens and worked on Stoystown Borough Election Board for over 25 years. She enjoyed sewing, gardening and ceramics.
