Frances P. "Peggy" Dunmyer, 89, of Somerset, passed on Sept. 13, 2012. Born May 5, 1923 in Black Township, she is the daughter of the late Edward and Dora (Baker) Humbert. She is also preceded in death by her husband Gerald "Red" Dunmyer in 1985; daughters Bonnie Mitchell and Teri; brothers Virgil, Glenn, Robert, and Gene Humbert; and sisters Catherine Walter, Helen Rice, Leona Long, Alice Critchfield, Mildred "Billie" Ferrell, and Zola Clark. Peggy is survived by her daughter Karen Swank and husband Elwood of Rockwood; grandchildren: Jamie Weaver of Dauphin; Dean Weaver and wife Steph of Somerset; Jerrold Weaver and wife Karen of Jacksonville, Fla.; and Lee Mitchell and wife Cathy of Reading; great-grandchildren: Sara, Sammie, and Cole Weaver, Nicole Mitchell, and Charlie and Josh Rothermel; great-great-grandson Russell; and brother James Humbert and wife Frances of Somerset. Peggy was a 1942 graduate of Rockwood Area High School. She was a long-time employee of J.J. Newberry Co. and was a member of the First Christian Church in Somerset. She was an avid gardener and loved to cook for family and friends at her home. Friends will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Miller Funeral Home and Crematory, Somerset, with a service to follow at 7 p.m., pastor Barry Ritenour officiating.
