Pauline V. Howarth, 89, of Somerset, passed on Sept. 20, 2012 at Somerset Hospital. Born Jan. 24, 1923 in Edie, she is the daughter of the late William and Sadie (Sarver) Barnhart. She is also preceded in death by her husband James Howarth in 1992, and sisters Alice Shaulis and Juanita Yohe. Pauline is survived by her daughters Connie Bowman and husband Richard of Meyersdale, and Linda Dangel of Somerset; grandsons, Justin and Jeremy Dangel of Somerset; and longtime friend Jeanetta Bowman of Somerset. She was a retired cook in the Somerset Area School District and was a member of the Somerset Church of the Brethren. There will be no visitation and a private graveside service at Somerset County Memorial Park at Pauline's request.
