James E. "Hardly Able" Pugh Jr., 70, of Somerset, died Sept. 20, 2012 at UPMC Hospital. Born July 27, 1942, in Somerset Township, he is the son of the late James Edward and Bernice (Lear) Pugh. Also preceded in death by a sister, Jeanette, and brothers, Lavan and William. Survived by his wife, Anna Mae (Fleegle) Pugh; children: Joyce Fisk and husband Bill of Charleston, S.C.; Sharon Turner and husband Lon of Somerset; Charlene Weigle and husband Vincent of Friedens; Illeen Miller and husband Mike of Meyersdale; James E. Pugh III and wife Patricia of Jacksonville, Fla.; and Albert Pugh and wife Roslyn of Somerset; 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Brother of: Donald L. Pugh; Mrs. Wendell R. Connie) Hileman; Wayne B. Pugh and wife Kay; Mrs. Richard (Linda Sue) Manges; and Roger Pugh and wife Hazel, all of Somerset. He drove truck for W.W. Friedline for over 20 years. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday in the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home where services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday with Rev. Richard Lambert officiating.
