Evelyn L. Jackson, 90, of Greenville Road, Meyersdale, went to be with the Lord on Sept. 22, 2012 at home. Born Oct. 5, 1921 in Pocahontas, she was the only child of the late Jonas V. and Grace (Werner) Layman. She is survived by her husband, Cecil E. Jackson, with whom she would have celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on Oct. 3. Also survived by two sons, Robert and wife Joan, Mercersburg; and William and wife Lora, Ellerslie, Md.;
