John James Zborovancik, 59, of Friedens, died Oct. 20, 2012 at his home. Born July 14, 1953 in Somerset, the son of John Adam and Helen S. (Svonavec) Zborovancik. Preceded in death by his parents. Survived by daughters: Valerie Glover and husband Michael of Friedens; Jill Zborovancik of Somerset; Jennifer Zborovancik and fiance Ryan Platt of Somerset; grandsons Jude and Elias; sister Joyce Walker and husband David E. of Somerset; brother, Joseph Zborovancik and wife Geraldine of Colts Neck, N.J.; and former wife Catherine L. (Will) Zborovancik. John is a 1971 graduate of Somerset High School. He was co-owner/operator of Svonavec Inc. He was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, Listie Hunting Club and the American Legion in Stoystown. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset. A vigil for the deceased will be conducted at 1:45 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Funeral Mass will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Somerset, with Fr. Daniel J. O'Neill, Celebrant. Committal Listie Catholic Cemetery.
