Harry H. Cable, 86, of Laurel View Village, formerly of Davidsville, Johnstown and Orlando, Fla., died Nov. 8, 2012 at Memorial Medical Center. Born Jan. 30, 1926 in Conemaugh Township, the son of Henry and Nellie (Yoder) Cable. Preceded in death by parents; wife, the former Jane G. Grove on July 4, 2000; and sister Anna Mary Cable. Survived by daughter Barbara, married to Clayton Rusch, Downers Grove, Ill.; son Terry, married to the former Barbara Knowski, Darien, Ill.; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and brothers, Robert Cable, married to the former Evelyn Mack, Hollsopple and Dalton Cable, Davidsville. A graduate of Conemaugh Township Area High School, a U.S. Army veteran of W.W.II. He was employed in the trucking industry most of his life. Harry enjoyed fishing and making people laugh through the many stories he would tell. Friends will be received from 2 p.m. until the time of service at 4 p.m. Monday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 109 Church Road, Davidsville with Pastor Wes Yoder presiding.
