Heather W. Harah, 71, Latrobe, died Nov. 8, 2012, at Excela Health Latrobe Hospital. Born Sept. 13, 1941, in Milford Township, she is the daughter of the late Harold W. and Irene E. (Cook) Gerhard. Heather was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Latrobe. She was an avid cross-stitcher and enjoyed giving her cross-stitches as gifts. She also enjoyed making porcelain dolls. She was a devoted wife and mother. Heather is survived by her husband, Charles W. “Dick” Harah, Latrobe; two daughters, Heather D. Bennett and her husband Ron, Florida, and Shawna L. Johnson and her husband Chris, Oklahoma.; two brothers, Harold “H.W.” Gerhard and his wife Linda, Meyersdale, and Greg Gerhard and his wife Gloria, Rockwood; one sister, Karen Morgan and her husband Robert, Rockwood; two grandchildren, Koby and Mikaela. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the John J. Lopatich Funeral Home Inc., 601 Weldon St., Latrobe. Additional viewing will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. Monday at Messiah Lutheran Church, New Centerville, with the Rev. Will Osman and the Rev. Jane Nicholson co-officiating. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery, New Centerville.
