Daniel C. Russell, 57, Hooversville, died Nov. 12, 2012, at Somerset Hospital. Born May 7, 1955, in Johnstown, son of Harry D. and Dorothy (Dunmyer) Russell. Preceded in death by father, Harry D. Russell; and sister, Linda S. Russell. Survived by loving mother, Dorothy Russell, Somerset; loving children, Jamie Lea, married to Michael Andrews, Hollsopple; and Krysten, married to David Moon; Maryann, married to Brandon McQuinn; and Benjamin Vance, married to Mandy, all of Indiana; grandchildren, Nicholas, Angel, Jonathan, Deborah, Joseph, Samuel, Andrew, Daniel and Paul Moon; and Lucille, Jacob, James and Jefferson McQuinn; loving sisters, Debra, married to Donald Maust, Illinois; and Kathy, married to Jeff Keiser, Somerset; loving brother, Stephen, and companion, Betsy Richard; and close friends, Joe, Sam and Roger. Member of Ridge Church of the Brethren. He was self-employed in computer services. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing and camping with his friends. Air Force veteran. Daniel volunteered for the Boy Scouts of America and DCNR. He was a staunch Republican. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Geisel Funeral Home, Bedford Street, where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Geisel-Devlin Funeral Chapel, Pastor Chuck Statler, officiating.
