Benjamin W. Miller, 87, Somerset, passed on Nov. 18, 2012, at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center in Johnstown. Born Dec. 17, 1924, in Middlecreek Township, he is the son of the late John and Amanda (Geary) Miller. He is also preceded in death by his wife Leanna Miller; brothers Willet, Daniel, Harry, Frank, and Jesse Miller; and sisters Mary Henry, Martha Lambert, Barbara Leslie, Irene Miller, and Fannie Kuhlman. He is survived by his daughters Judith Stabler of Knox and Shirley Miller of Manassas, Va.; son David Miller and wife Susan of Meyersdale; step-daughter Barbara Cukus and husband Bob of Winchester, Va.; step-son Barry Walker and wife Sandy of Somerset; grandson Raymond Bigley; granddaughters Delisa, Annabelle, and Heidi Miller; four step-grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several step-great-grandchildren. Benjamin was a veteran of the U.S. Army in World War II. He was a retired employee of the B&O Railroad, and a member of Samuels Lutheran Church in Somerset Township. He enjoyed antique cars and watching western movies. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Miller Funeral Home and Crematory, Somerset. A service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Samuels Lutheran Church with one hour of visitation prior to service, pastor Will Osman officiating. Interment in the church cemetery.
