Ellen L. Beachy, 93, Somerset, died Nov. 26, 2012, at The Patriot. Born Aug. 19, 1919, in Garrett, daughter of Ward and Elizabeth (Simpson) Patterson. Preceded in death by parents, first husband Archie Cassel and brother Clyde Patterson. Survived by her husband of 54 years Cecil M. Beachy, daughter Joan married to John Popovich of Berlin, sister-in-law Mary Patterson, Somerset, and great-grandchildren: Scott Popovich, Tammy Mort, and Melissa Cavanaugh, all of Berlin. Graduate of Hammond Beauty School, Johnstown. She was a retired beautician, and member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, Somerset. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin, where service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday. Pastor Matthew Deal officiating.
