Allen Grove, 70, of Fort Hill, passed away Dec. 2, 2012 at In Touch Hospice House of Journey's Rest, Somerset. He was born June 30, 1942 in Mill Run, Md., a son of the late Floyd and Thelma (Frazee) Grove. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Anna Mae (Lancaster) Grove; a daughter, Beth Suppok and husband Matt, Pittsburgh; son, Terry Grove and wife Kara, Addison; grandchildren, Grant and Kate Grove; and a brother, Terry Russell Grove and wife, Donna, Friendsville, Md. Allen was a member of the Addison United Methodist Church. For the past five years he coped with kidney dialysis and at the time of his death was awaiting a transplant. He worked as a mechanical engineer for numerous companies, the most recent being Lincoln Contracting of Somerset and Hoover Conveyor, Meyersdale. After his retirement he continued to work as an engineering consultant. He truly loved his family and his work. He was also a talented artist and enjoyed traveling and the outdoors. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Humbert Funeral Home in Confluence, where a service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday with Rev. Arthur J. Gotjen officiating.
