Frank Ralph Miller, 90, of Somerset, died Feb. 14, 2013 at The Patriot, Somerset. Born July 29, 1922 in Somerset, the son of Bert R. Sr. and Sarah Alice (Ewel) Miller. Preceded in death by parents; first wife, Wilma (Hoffman) who died Feb. 15, 1981; second wife, Mary Marilyn (Uphold) who died June 13, 2010; and brother, Donald "Boots" Miller. Survived by children: Mark A. Miller, married to the former Robin C. Walter of Somerset; Barbara A. Gnagey of Somerset; Karen R. Miller of Somerset; and Bonita L. Pritts of Stoystown; grandchildren: Dawn Miller; Alisha Black and husband Dan of Shanksville; and Tara Gnagey; great-grandchild, Carter Joseph Black; sisters and brother: Violet Stern, Bert Miller and wife Charlotte, and Garnet Shaulis. Frank was a devoted member of Christ Casebeer Lutheran Church where he was a past council member and served on the cemetery association. He was a World War II Army veteran and served during the European Conflict. Frank was a lifelong member of the Sipesville Fire Department. As a loving father, he enjoyed his family, the outdoors and hunting. He retired from the Island Creek Coal Co. in 1980 and later in life spent his winters in Florida with wife Mary Marilyn. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home and one hour prior to service on Tuesday at Christ Casebeer Lutheran Church where services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday, the Rev.
