Teresa Pater Popa, 89, of Rockwood, died Feb. 17, 2013 at In Touch Hospice House. Born May 28, 1923 in Glassport, she is the daughter of the late Steven and Mary (Sherman) Pater. Also preceded in death by her husband, Eugene P. Popa; sisters, Clara Sovich and Irene Pastore; brothers, Regis, Robert and Edwin Pater; and a nephew, Andrew Sovich. Survived by nieces, Mrs. Edward (Marion) Kollar of Jefferson Hills; Mrs. Thomas (Joyce) Carter of Bethel Park; nephew, Richard Sovich and wife Helen of Glassport; great-nieces and nephews: Todd Carter and wife Julie; Ann Marie Kollar; and Christina Corrado and husband Joseph; and great-great-nephews, Cole Carter and Nicolas Corrado. Member of St. Peter's Catholic Church where she attended Bible classes, St. Peter's Cursillo and participated in the outreach programs. Also a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees and the 55 & Over Speeders. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Peter's Catholic Church, Monsignor Samuel J. Tomaselli, celebrant. Committal in Somerset County Memorial Park. A wake service will be held at 1:45 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. Contributions may be made to In Touch Hospice House, P.O.
