Diane Elaine (Philip) Sechler, 60, of Meyersdale, died April 18, 2013 at home. She was born Oct. 23, 1952 in Meyersdale, daughter of the late Samuel O. and Ruth Elaine (Walker) Philip. Also preceded in death by her brother, David Philip. Survived by her husband, Barry "Butch"; daughters: Jodi Lohr and husband Troy, and Ashley Sube and husband David; and "Nan" to her grandchildren, Braden Lohr and Ella Sube. Also survived by brother, Denver Philip and wife Ginger; sisters: Darlene Fullerton, and Dawn Mapes and husband Stephen; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. Diane was a 1970 graduate of Meyersdale High School and graduated from Tri-State Beauty Academy in 1971. She was a devoted beautician for 38 years and made many wonderful friends throughout her career as the owner of The Honey Comb Beauty Salon in Meyersdale. Diane was a dedicated member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Meyersdale, where she served and assisted in numerous capacities, and she also volunteered at Meyersdale Medical Center. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren, and also enjoyed the outdoors and bowling. There will be no viewing or visitation. A memorial service celebrating Diane's life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 27, 2013 at Zion Lutheran Church, Meyersdale, with Rev. Frank E. Harpster III officiating.
