Daniel P. Hartsock, 59, Jenner Township, passed on May 10, 2013, at the VA University Hospital in Pittsburgh. Born Aug. 6, 1953, in Lorraine, Ohio, he is the son of the late Richard and Pearl (Hersch) Hartsock. He is preceded in death by his parents; and brother Robert Hersch. Daniel is survived by his partner Linda Adams, Jenner Township; daughter Jessica “Doodle” Hartsock, son Richard Hartsock, and grandson Reese Dalton Hartsock, all of Clintwood, Va.; stepdaughter Melissa Adams and her sons, Joshua Dupuis and Zackery Adams, all of Vass, N.C.; brother Louie Hersch, Uniontown; and his beloved cats: Picker, Morris, and Houdini. Daniel was a veteran of the U.S. Army in the Vietnam War. He was a lifetime member of the Somerset American Legion Post 181. He loved gardening, hunting, and his cats. There will be no visitation or service at Daniel’s request. Interment will be private.
