Helen (Pelesky) Kovach, 88, Jenners, died July 23, 2013, at home. Born Oct. 21, 1924, in Jenners, daughter of Nicholas and Mary (Lefchik) Pelesky. Preceded in death by parents; grandson, Michael Nicholas Kovach; brothers, John, Michael and Stephen Pelesky; and sisters Ann Snitzer and Irene Pelesky. Survived by husband of 61 years, George Kovach; children, Nicholas, married to Juliana (Butchko); Irene Kovach; and George, married to Cheryl (Johnston), all of Jenners; much loved granddaughter Carolyn Kovach, Jenners; stepgrandchildren, Charity Reginelli and Mikeal Kasten, both of Florida; brothers, Joseph Pelesky and Nicholas Pelesky, both of Jenners; sisters, Nettie Deriscavage, Philadelphia; Mary Simpson, Cincinnati, Ohio; and Evelyn Pelesky, Jenners; and numerous nieces and nephews. Member of St. Mary’s Orthodox Greek Catholic Church, Jenners. Helen was a devoted mother and housewife. Viewing will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 409 Main St., Boswell, where Panachida will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday. A brief prayer service will be held at 9:15 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, followed by Divine Liturgy at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mary’s Church, Jenners, Father Frank Miloro, celebrant.
