James William Crawford, 75, of Somerset, died July 21, 2013 at Somerset Hospital. Born April 15, 1938 in Belle Vernon, the son of William Edmund and Florence Catherine (Kelley) Crawford. Preceded in death by parents; wife, the former Vera Eilleen Coiner who died Oct. 14, 2005, step-children Robert Logan and Darla Garrison; step-granddaughter Stacey Lang. Survived by step-daughter Marjorie Logan Davis of Mountainview, Calif.; step-grandchildren: Scott Davis, Robert Davis, Tina Hayman and Brandi Lang; and several great-grandchildren; brother and sister: Gary Crawford and wife, Sandra, of Rockwood; Carolyn Helman of West Virginia. Jim is a 1956 graduate of Rostraver High School. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran. He worked until his retirement in 2002 as a self-employed electrician with 48 years of service. He was also an inspector for Somerset County Building Inspections, Somerset Borough and Accredited Services in Waynesboro. He was a member of FOE Aerie 1801. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
