Robert E. Peck Jr., 91, Meyersdale, died July 25, 2013, in Ravenna, Ohio. Born March 30, 1922 in Meyersdale, he is the son of the late Robert E. and Margaret (Hady) Peck Sr. he is preceded in death by his wife, Margaret E. (Beachy) Peck and brother, Joseph F. Peck of Akron, Ohio. Robert (Bob) was a U.S. Army Veteran of W.W. II, member of the Meyersdale Post 112 American Legion, and a life long member of the Meyersdale Church of the Brethren. Bob was a retired salesperson for Farmall Tractors and International Harvester Farm Equipment, having spent 40 years working for H.G. Bender of Meyerdale and Clyde Morris of Everett. In October of 2007, Bob moved to Kent, Ohio to live with his brother Joe in an assisted living community where they enjoyed meals together and participated in many community activities. Bob is survived by several nieces and nephews. Friends and family will be received from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Monday with the service to follow with Pastor Pete Kaltenbaugh at the M. Ray Leckemby Funeral Home, Meyersdale. Interment to follow at the Meyersdale Area Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Meyersdale Church of the Brethren.
