Anna L. Vogel, 62, of Berlin, died Feb. 27, 2013 at Somerset In Touch Hospice surrounded by her family. Born March 27, 1950, in Confluence, daughter of Sarah Louise (Lewis) Vought, Grantsville, Md., and the late Paul Riley. Survived by her husband of 37 years, John S. Vogel and daughter, Andrea Vogel Cober married to Bradley J. Cober, Jr., Mohnton. Also, survived by sister Linda, married to Robert King, Springfield, Va.; brother Paul Riley, married to Margaret, Meyersdale; sister Darlene, married to Dale Steyer, Oakland, Md.; brother John Vought, married to Joyce, Grantsville, Md.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Anna graduated from Salisbury High School. She worked at the Coleman Company and Fleetwood Folding Trailers for 41 years as a purchasing agent. Anna was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Berlin where she was a former Deacon and Elder and was also organizer of the church greeters for many years. Anna always enjoyed bird watching and vacationing at Hilton Head Island, S.C. Anna will be deeply missed by all family and friends. George Riley Lichliter, 87, of Salisbury, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2013, at Golden Living Center, Meyersdale. Born Oct. 28, 1925, in Meyersdale, Mr. Lichliter is the son of the late George Reese Lichliter and Margaret Elizabeth (Riley) Lichliter. He was also preceded in death by his wife of wife 59 years, Helen Louise (Rairick) Lichliter, April 27, 2007. A United States Naval Veteran of World War II, George retired from the Salisbury Elk Lick School District. He was a life-member of the Salisbury American Legion Post #459 and the Salisbury V.F.W. George is survived by his son, Thomas R. Lichliter and wife, Donna, Salisbury, as well as two grandchildren and one great grandson. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Born Feb. 12, 1943, in Grantsville, she was the daughter of the late Aaron and Etheline Lucretia (Bittinger) Bittinger. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Linda Kay Bittinger. “Lonnie” as she was known at work, retired as a payroll clerk for Will O’the Wisp, McHenry, Md. She was Pentecostal by faith. Surviving are one son, David Paul Miller and one daughter, Melissa Elaine Frantz and husband Eric; two grandchildren, whom she adored, Kylie Elaine Frantz and Connor James Frantz; one brother, Gary Aaron Bittinger, all of Grantsville; and numerous sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins. Patricia L. Barron, 88, Riverside, passed to be with the Lord on March 3, 2013 at Laurel View Village. Born March 11, 1924 in Johnstown, daughter of Lewis H. and Mary (Mintmier) Mitchell. Pat married Robert G. Barron on Aug. 4, 1944. Their marriage union of 68 years ended earlier this year with the passing of her husband. Also, preceded in death by son Robert Glen, grandson Waylan Barron, brothers William, Richard and James Mitchell, sisters Betty Potthoff, Martha Gibson, Jane Gibson, Jean Hildebrand and Alice Ann Mitchell. Also a sister Sandra "Toni" Carlson. She is survived by daughter Debbie, married to Dr. Paul Petrunak; and son John, married to the former Laura Burkett; grandchildren: Jill Nagy, Robert, Jonathan, James, Daniel, Jeffrey, Sarah and Tricia Patrunak, Katie Kozielec, Patrick, Rebecca and Colin Barron; great-grandchildren: Carter and Mara Kozielec, Charlotte, Kaden, Grace and Jacob Petrunak and Brewer Kate Barron. Graduate of Ferndale High School Class of 1942. Along with her husband "Corp," they operated Bob Barron's Greenhouse and Farm Market in south Riverside. Like many war wives, Pat managed their farm while her husband served in the Pacific during W.W.II. They were known for their Easter flowers, poinsettias and the best sweet corn around. Earlier in their marriage, Pat worked for the Pennsylvania Electric Co. and Penn Traffic. Later in life, she and "Corp" loved making and selling candy. Lifelong member of Riverside Grace Brethren/Davidsville Community Church, where she taught Sunday school and was an AWANA-SPARKS leader. She enjoyed her grandchildren tremendously and her time at Deep Creek Lake and Lake Stoneycreek, where she helped organize and run the annual water ski show. A highlight of their retirement years was a trip out west by RV with a small circle of friends.
