Alice C. Miller, 92, of Somerset, passed on March 3, 2013, at The Patriot. Born April 16, 1920, in Burnside, she is the daughter of the late Frank and Anna (Costo) Breth. She is also preceded in death by her first husband Francis Plassard; second husband Joseph Miller; sisters Elizabeth Breth and Eleanor Bee; and brothers Carl, Paul and John Breth.  Alice is survived by her son Francis Plassard and wife N. Jane of Uniontown, Ohio; daughter Alice Kime and husband Gerald of Somerset; grandchildren Breton Kime and wife Jennifer of Somerset, Amy K. Frantz and husband David of Hurricane, W.Va., and Benjamin Plassard of Akron, Ohio; great-grandchildren Katherine Batten-Kime and Dawna Nedrow; and sister Mary Jane Bennett and husband James of Mahaffey. There will be no visitation or service at Alice’s request.  Interment will be private. Arrangements by Miller Funeral Home and Crematory, Somerset. James Michael Troll, 59, of Somerset, died March 4, 2013, at Somerset Hospice House, Somerset. Born Aug. 4, 1953 in Somerset, formerly of Johnstown, son of Edward W. and Sally Frances (Favo) Troll III. Preceded in death by parents. Survived by brothers: Edward W. Troll IV and wife JoAnne, David F. Troll and wife Jodie all of Somerset; nephews and niece: Ryan Troll and wife Carol of Santa Clara, Calif.; Bronwyn Korchnak and husband Phillip of Clinton; Isaac Troll and wife Donna of Johnstown; Morgan Troll of Pleasant Hills; great nieces and nephews: Apollo, Ares, Xander and Amanda. James is a 1971 graduate of Somerset High School, he had worked as a jeweler for various jewelry stores lastly for Precious Metals and Diamonds. He also enjoyed music. Eva J. "Eve" Kline, 70, of Sipesville, passed on March 3, 2013. Born Oct. 11, 1942, in Watts Township, she is the daughter of the late Stanley and Grace (Loudon) Peters. She is also preceded in death by her son Kent Kline; brothers Stanley and Brian Peters; and sister Nettie Patterson. Eve is survived by her brother Stephen Peters and wife Karen of Newport; sister Edna Little and husband Richard of Newport; longtime friend Kathy Plaso of Sipesville; and several nieces and nephews. Eve was a 1963 graduate of Kutztown St. University and earned her Masters Degree in Library Science in 1978 at the University of Pittsburgh. She was a longtime employee of the Somerset State Hospital. Upon retirement she became the Library Director of the Somerset County Library and the Somerset County Federated Library System, both which she had currently been employed. She received many awards over the years for her library management and organizational skills. She also taught at Mt. Aloysius College, SCI-Pittsburgh, and the Canal Zone Army Library. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Miller Funeral Home and Crematory, Somerset. Virginia Kay "Ginny" Hollander, 55, of Somerset, went to be with the Lord on March 6, 2013 at Magee Women's Hospital, Pittsburgh. Born April 5, 1957 in Somerset, the daughter of William Daniel "Dan" Maurer and L. Anne (Sakel) Maurer. Preceded in death by mother; husband William Henry Hollander who died Jan. 13, 2004, and sister Mary Lynn Oshner. Survived by father of Somerset; daughter Heather Guydo and husband Greg of Woodbridge, Va.; grandsons: Evan M. and Mason T. Guydo; brother Ralph E. Maurer of Johnson City, Tenn.; sister Barbara E. Mellinger and husband Louis of Somerset. Ginny is a 1975 graduate of Somerset High School. She worked as a bank teller for various banks including Somerset Trust Company. She attended the Somerset Church of the Nazarene and she enjoyed decorating and spending time with her grandsons. Friends will be received from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset, where a service will immediate follow at 12 p.m. with the Rev. Robert Henderson and Rev. Jack Raymond Holler, 96, of Boynton, died Wednesday, March 6, 2013, at Meyersdale Medical Center, Meyersdale. Born Aug. 28, 1916, in Boynton, he is the son of the late Archie and Margaret (Wellington) Holler. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Margaret (Kemp) Holler, Nov. 28, 1985; three brothers, Albert, James and Kenneth Holler and two sisters, Mary Baer and Beatrice Ferraro. Mr. Holler was an operating automatic threader for Pittsburgh Knipple Works for 31 years and a U.S. Air Force veteran of World War II. He was a member of Salisbury American Legion and he enjoyed trout fishing. He is survived by a son, Terry Holler and companion, Peggy Horner; a daughter, Deborah Albright and husband, Jerry, all of Boynton; three grandchildren, Danny Albright, Amanda Pickrel and Heather Holler; and two great-grandchildren, Caleb and Aidyn Pickrel. Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Home, Inc., 9168 Mason-Dixon Hwy., Salisbury on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. A graveside service will be held at a later date. John Lenio, 91, of Cape May Court House, N.J., passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at Eastern Shore Nursing Home. Born in Philadelphia to the late Anthony and Anastazia (Skubowiak) Lenio, he lived in Magnolia, N.J., for 25 years before moving to Cape May County, N.J. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Cold Spring. He was an Army Veteran of World War II and worked as a butcher in Berlin, PA. When he moved to Magnolia, he was a vendor at the Berlin (N.J.) Flea Market for over 25 years. Mr. Lenio is survived by his four children, Randall (Millie) Lenio, Thomas Lenio, Patricia (Walter) Daye, and Antoinette (Jerry) Boyd; his sisters, Joan Wright and Elizabeth (Earl) Sutton; his nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his second wife, Angela; his son, Daniel; and his siblings, Anthony, Michael, Catharine, Anna, and Daniel. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at 10 a.m. at the Cape May County Veterans Cemetery, 129 Crest Haven Road, Cape May Court House. Clinton "Jay" Walker, 72, of Rockwood, passed on March 7, 2013 at Conemaugh Memorial Hospital in Johnstown. Born Sept. 28, 1940 in Black Township, he is the son of the late Earl and Emma (Mitchell) Walker.  He is also preceded in death by his sister Marie Ericson and brothers Norman, Harry, Lyle, James, and Clifford Walker. Jay is survived by his wife Etta Kay (Younkin) Walker; daughters: Kelly Huzsek of Turtle Creek; Melissa Walker of Niceville, Fla.; and Kimberly Hay and husband Brian of Rockwood; grandchildren: Augusta, Aidan, and Ace Hay; James Barnett; Theresa Payne; Jeffrey Haselbarth, Kayleigh Huzsek, and Lindsey Walker. Jay was a retired employee of the Somerset State Hospital and SCI Laurel Highlands. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and the outdoors. Clarence William (Bill) Witt, 88, passed away March 4, 2013 at Hospice of the Valley in Scottsdale, Ariz. He was born in Boswell on Dec. 3, 1924 and is survived by wife, Alice Cassidy Witt; daughter Lynda Tapley (Lewis); and son, James Witt (Janise); together with four grandchildren: Laurie Tapley Gonzales (Joe), Lisa Tapley Allen (Jason), Timothy Tapley (Angela), and Matthew Tapley (Allyson); along with twelve great-grandchildren. Bill was a World War II veteran serving in New Guinea and The Philippines. He graduated from Lebanon Valley College with a chemistry degree and retired from Allied Signal Aerospace Engineering, Phoenix, Ariz., now Honeywell, in 1985. Survived by son Terry Koontz and wife Deb of Somerset and their children: Terry Koontz Jr. and great-grandchildren Kaylee and Hunter Koontz; Jennifer Johnson; Robert and Eleanor Davis; Kristina Umberger; and Jocelyn McCann; son Duane Koontz of Jacksonville, Fla. and his children: Colette Koontz and Melodie Baldwin, and great-granddaughter Madison Baldwin; Duane Koontz Jr. and great-grandchildren, Aleshia and Aubrie Koontz and Brigitte Gross and great-grandson Nicholas Gross, and great-great-grandchild Kaiden Sawyer; daughter, Tammy Jerome and husband Jon of Boswell and their daughter, Bobbie Jo Phillips, and great-grandchildren, Mason and Tyler Phillips; sister of Mariam Anderson of Johnstown. Nelma Jean Stern, 88, of Somerset was called to her heavenly home on March 10, 2013 at Siemon's Lakeview Manor Estate. Born Aug. 2, 1924 in Upper Turkeyfoot Township, the daughter of the late Eli Samuel and Sada Grace (Snyder) Leaphart. Waiting for her, in addition to her parents were brothers, Theodore, Harry, A.J. Leaphart and infant brother Edgar Paul and sister Margaret Gardner. Also preceded in death by husband Harry Elwood Stern, who died Sept. 26, 2000 and son, Edgar Paul. Nelma was the last surviving member of her family. Survived by daughters: Donna, wife of Ronald Deaner of Somerset, and Esther, wife of George E. Dively of Friedens; grandsons: Chad Dively and wife, Christina of Gainesville, Va., and Joshua Dively of Friedens; granddaughter Dawn, wife of David Wollston of Stephens City, Va.; great-grandson Kaleb Woolston of Stephens City, Va.; and great-granddaughter, Madison Dively of Meyersdale and numerous nieces and nephews. Life member of Bethany United Methodist Church, Somerset. Former employee of Siemon Nursing Home in Somerset. Auxiliary member of NARFE. Nelma served on various church committees in years past, taught Sunday school for many years and served as church historian for 28 years. Sandra Laree Pingatore, 54, Delray Beach, Fla., passed away on March 7, 2013, at Hospice at Pinecrest Rehabilitation Center in Delray Beach. She was born on Nov. 14, 1958, in Baltimore, Md. Sandra was the daughter of Carroll and the late Shirley Hahn. Sandra grew up in Baltimore and lived in the Baltimore area until relocating in 1971 with her family to Somerset and later relocated to Boca Raton, Fla., in 1977. She is survived by her beloved husband of 34 years, Mark and was blessed with two children, LaRee Nicolette Pingatore and Austin Mark Pingatore. Sandra was an accomplished artist, her creativity having touched the lives of many. She loved her family dearly, was a big baseball and football fan, an avid gardener, and a nurturing animal lover that thoroughly enjoyed her pets. Sandra is additionally survived by sisters, Susan Carol Thompson, Solomons, Maryland, Karen Lynn Brant, Boynton Beach, Fla., and Allyson Michelle Hahn, Deep Creek Lake, Md. A memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, March 16 at 1:30 p.m. at Ascension Catholic Church, 7250 N. Federal Hwy. Boca Raton, FL 33487. He was also preceded in death by a wife, Shirley (Clinedinst) Chaney Myers in 2006; sisters, Bertha May and Rehona Miller He served in the U.S. Army during Korea. Surviving are step-sons, Kenneth Chaney and wife Bonnie of Buffalo Mills, Paul Chaney and wife Connie of Berlin, Jesse Chaney of Fairhope; a brother, Ralph Meyers Jr. and wife Mary of Fairhope; sisters, Hazel Linger of Charlotte, N.C.; Lillian Sarver and husband Ron of Hyndman. Jeanne M. Kimmel, 79, of Somerset, formerly of Edie, passed on March 11, 2013, at Somerset Hospital. Born March 6, 1934, in Waltham, Mass., she is the daughter of the late Theophile and Lucie (Ducette) Aucoin. She is also preceded in death by her husband William G. Kimmel in 2011. Jeanne is survived by her sons Lionel Kimmel and wife Debbie of Menomonee Falls, Wis., Ronald Kimmel and girlfriend Kathy of Belle Vernon, and Richard Kimmel and wife Sandy of Somerset; grandchildren Brian, Mark, Lindsay, Christopher, Matthew, and Nicholas Kimmel, and Jennifer Brougher and husband Spencer; great-granddaughter Victoria Kimmel; bothers and sisters Lionel Aucoin of Lexington, Ky., Claudette Granahan of Seattle, Wash., Samuel Aucoin of Honolulu, Hawaii, and Diane Godaire of Waltham, Mass.; and numerous other family and friends. Jeanne was a longtime employee of the Somerset Shirt and Pajama Factory and later, the Coleman Co. She was a member of the Immanuel United Methodist Church in Waltham, Mass. She loved to knit, dance, and travel. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Somerset Anglican Fellowship on Union St. across from the Courthouse, father Mark Zimmerman officiating.  Interment will be private. Paul B. Ream, 83, Friedens, passed on March 11, 2013, at the In Touch Hospice House. Born Nov. 11, 1929, in Somerset, he is the son of the late Matthew and Dorcas (Bender) Ream. He is also preceded in death by his grandson Christopher Ream. Paul is survived by his wife of 60 years, Alice (Woodward) Ream; son Donald Ream and wife Pamela of Somerset; daughter Sue Schimpf and husband Jerry of Somerset; grandchildren Claire Ream of Lancaster, Timothy Rice Jr. of Somerset, Colin Rice of Somerset, and Jonathan Rice and wife Bethann of Lambertsville; great-grandson Jacob Rice; and brother-in-law William Woodward of Somerset. Paul was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He then went to work for his father in the plumbing and heating business and eventually retired from the Exxon Corp. He was a member of Friedens Lutheran Church. He was an avid motorcyclist and enjoyed car rides. There will be no viewing or visitation at Paul’s request. Interment at Lambertsville Cemetery. Florence Pearl Smearman, 76, died March 13, 2013, at Conemaugh Medical Center, She was born August 1, 1936, in St. Paul, daughter of the late Lawrence and Annie (Walker) Kinsinger. Preceded in death by husband, Floyd Dale Smearman and a son, Ricky Dale Smearman. Brother Ernest Kinsinger and sister Iona Bates. Survived by son, Larry Paul Smearman and his wife Susan of Pittsburgh. Sister Betty Beal of St. Paul, grandchildren Preston Smearman, Laurie Smearman, and Danyel Riley. Three great-grandchildren. Special friend Jack Christner. Her hobbies included sewing, going to auctions and the Senior Center. Friends will be received Friday, 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the M. Charles Timothy "Tim" Foreman, 71, of Confluence, died March 13, 2013 at Somerset Hospital, Somerset. He was born May 26, 1941 in Washington, D.C., a son of Charles and Mary Louise (Rush) Foreman. His parents preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, Patricia (Hoover) Foreman, children: Krista Campbell and husband Gary, and Charles Timothy, Scott and Kathleen Foreman; stepchildren: Gregory Marlowe and Melissa Torchia; and grandson, Max Campbell. Tim retired from General Motors in Lordstown, Ohio. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of UAW Local 1112, Lordstown; Turkeyfoot Fish and Game Association; and a member and treasurer of Confluence V.F.W. Post 7250. He was also an avid outdoorsman. There will be no viewing. A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, March 23 in the Humbert Funeral Home in Confluence where friends will be received one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Confluence Baptist Cemetery.
