Jeanne M. Holman, 86, Indian Lake, died June 9, 2013, at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown. Born July 12, 1926, in Hornell, N.Y., daughter of Willard and Florence Morgan. Preceded in death by parents and husband Eugene W. “Sandy.” Survived by her sons: Larry and wife Christine, Leesburg, Va. and Sprouts, Mexico. She was a 1949 graduate of Alfred University. Member of Unity United Church of Christ, Shanksville, and the Indian Lake Golf Club. She was an avid promoter of Indian Lake. All who knew her will miss the “Lady of the Lake.” There will be no visitation or viewing. Brenda J. (Sterner) Baker, 67 of Royersford, passed away June 4, 2013, at Pottstown Memorial Medical Center with family members by her side. Brenda is survived by her husband of 43 years, Kenneth L. Baker. Brenda was born in Rockwood on Sept. 19, 1945. She is the daughter of the late Vernon And Bernice (Knopsnyder) Sterner. She was predeceased by her brother Barry Sterner. Survivors include her loving sisters, Donna (Gail) Baker, Delenna Cicman and her Aunt Doris Pritts. Brenda is survived by many special cousins, nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

Joseph Frank Fuschino, 91, Fairfax, Va. formerly of Hooversville, died June 9, 2013, at Arden Court Assisted Living. Born July 4, 1921, in Hooversville, a son of Domenico and Mary (Fusina) Fuschino. Preceded in death by parents; wife, the former Reva Smith; and sisters Carol Taylor and Phyllis Skobel. Survived by his children: Larry and wife Wanda, Huntersville, N.C.; Tracy Comer and husband Sam, Manassas, Va.; and Robert and wife Laura, Highlands Ranch, Colo.; grandchildren: Amy Alt, Scott and Eric Fuschino, Joey, Jacob, and Jenna Comer, and Caroline Fuschino; brother of: Donald Fuschino and wife Lillian, Hooversville; John Fuschino and wife Barb, Windber; Marie Bloom, Hooversville; Virginia Hull, Summerhill; Teresa Petronick and husband Chip, Hooversville; Erma Mayak, Stoystown; Gloria Fuschino, Central City; and Lillian Stevenson, Crofton, Md.; and numerous nieces and nephews. He served in the Army in World War II, achieved the rank of master sergeant, and was awarded two Purple Hearts and the Bronze Star. He was a financial analyst in the electronics industry and was a member of the Military Order of the Purple Heart and the VFW. Cheryl Ann Mickey, 55, Quaker Valley Road, Alum Bank, died Saturday, June 8, 2013, at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown. Mrs. Mickey was born in Johnstown on Thursday, Dec. 26, 1957, the daughter of Anna Mary (Bruno) Anderson of Central City and the late William N. Anderson, Jr. On March 3, 1984, she married Kermit Mickey. He preceded her in death on June 22, 1996. In addition to her mother, she is survived by sister, Judy DeFazio wife of Charles DeFazio Sr., Johnstown; brother, William N. Anderson III, husband of Sheri Ann (Jenkins) Anderson, Central City; friend, Mark Sirko, Alum Bank. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews. Cheryl was a member of Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Church in Central City. She was employed as the W. St. Clair Township Secretary and formerly owned the Hilltop Sunoco with her late husband Kermit. Cheryl was a lifetime member of the Chestnut Ridge Ambulance Association since 1981 and served as president since 1982. She was also a lifetime member of the Alum Bank Community Volunteer Fire Company. Cheryl was formerly on the board of the Southern Alleghenies EMS Council and was the former W. St. Clair Township Supervisor. A memorial service will be held at Jack H. Geisel Funeral Home, Inc., Pleasantville at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 15, 2013, with Brad Allison officiating. June Elizabeth (Nair) Domer, of Somerset, went to be with our Lord on June 11, 2013 surrounded by her family after celebrating her 90th birthday at Somerset Hospice House. Born June 11, 1923 in Somerset, daughter of Norman and Mary Weller Nair. Preceded in death by parents, brother Glenn Nair; stillborn daughter, Sara Jane Shaulis; Roy Nelson Shaulis; and Earl (Butch) Domer; grandchildren: Kayla Domer, Douglas Domer and William Nicholson and previous husband Elmer Elias Hoffman. Survived by husband, Earl “Jack” Domer to whom she was married for 36 years, children: Ruby (Hoffman) married to Don Miller of Somerset; Hazel (Hoffman) married to Don Weighley of Somerset; Roger Hoffman married to Diane of Palmyra; Brenda (Domer) married to Tom Wiencek of Boswell; daughters-in-law Dorothy Shaulis and Betty Domer of Somerset; 18 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren. A member of the Sipesville Church of the Brethren. June dearly loved her family and had a memory better than any computer, and never crashed. She retired from Dorfman and Hoffman sewing factory in Boswell. June spent her time volunteering at Meals on Wheels and Somerset Food Pantry. Helen Viola Holler, 89, of Salisbury, died Wednesday, June 12, 2013, at her residence. Born April 6, 1924, in Somerset County, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Rosie (Robeson) Dishong. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Alvin Holler; two sons, Kenneth Holler Jr. and Donald Holler; a brother, Leroy Dishong and two sisters, Kathleen McKenzie and Eileen “Dick” Layman. Mrs. Holler was a homemaker. She is survived by three sons, Ronald Holler and wife, Diane, Meyersdale; Dale Holler and David Holler and wife, Linda, all of Salisbury; two daughters, Linda Whetzel, Addison; Vickie Minick, Salisbury; a sister, Betty Jane Showalter, Salisbury; 13 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren. Edward N. Joseph, known to many friends and family as “Cuz,” age 84, fell asleep in the Lord at Williamsport Retirement Village, Williamsport, Md., on June 12, 2013 . Most recently a resident of Hagerstown, Md., Eddie was formerly a resident of both Somerset and Johnstown. Eddie was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Norman, Theodore and William and sisters Frances and Anne (Michnya). Survivors include his wife,Brenda, his children: Lisa Joseph Burek (Scott), Glenshaw, Melissa Joseph Kauffman (Gene), Hagerstown, Md., Matthew Albert Joseph (Ashley), Charlotte, N.C., and seven grandchildren: Ryan & Elena Burek of Glenshaw, Nicholas and Lauren Kauffman of Hagerstown, and William, Maddox and Alexandra Joseph of Charlotte, N.C. He is also survived by sisters Dawn Hagins, Dolores Hawkins, and Sandra Joseph, as well as many loving nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Born Dec. 18, 1928, in Johnstown . Son of Charles and Geraldine (Jaber) Joseph . H e graduated from Franklin High School and Lock Haven University. Eddie served in the Army during the Korean Conflict . On Aug. 17, 1963 he married the former Brenda ( Salem ) . Eddie taught Physical Education for the Somerset Area Schools for 40 years, where he was affectionately known by both students and staff as “Mr. Joe.” He retired from teaching in 1993. He was a lifelong member of St. Mary Antiochian Orthodox Church, Johnstown, where he sang in the choir. In recent years, he attended St. Mary Orthodox Church, Chambersburg. Eddie served as the Athletic Director of the Antiochian Village Camp (Ligonier) for many years. Eddie was also a member of the Order of St. Ignatius, The American Legion, The VFW, Somerset Masonic Lodge, Tall Cedars and Altoona Shrine. During his rich life, Eddie enjoyed travelling, cooking, and most of all, spending time with his grandchildren. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 14, 2013 , at Frank Duca Funeral Home, Westmont Chapel, 1622 Menoher Blvd., Johnstown where T risagion prayers will be sung at 7 p.m . Robert E. Seifert, 83, of Meyersdale, died June 12, 2013 at Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown. Born May 20, 1930 in Gray, the son of Earl and Margaret (Brown) Seifert. Preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Laverne Lepley. Survived by his wife, Dorothy (Fisher) Seifert; children; Robert Seifert Jr. and wife Sandy, Berlin; Sherrie Yutzy and husband Joe, Meyersdale; Stephen Seifert and wife Donna, Meyersdale; and Amy Dedik, Meyersdale; grandchildren: Beth and husband Rob, Jana and husband Jeff, Tara and husband Jason, Chelsie and husband Scott, Jonathan and Courtney; and great-granddaughter, Ryleigh. He was the body shop manager at H.J. Beamer Ford from 1960 to 1968. He was the auto body repairman and owner of Seifert Repair Shop, Meyersdale from 1968 until his retirement in 1992.  A member of Meyersdale Church of the Brethren, Meyersdale American Legion Post 112, and the Mustang Club of America. He enjoyed watching football, especially the Pittsburgh Steelers, racing, working on his cars and attending car shows. A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 22, 2013 at Meyersdale Church of the Brethren, with Pastor Dottie Grew officiating. Ryan, Boswell; sister, Gladys Furman, Somerset; and brothers, Dave, married to Doris Jane, Texas; Millard, Somerset; and Richard, married to Elaine, Vermont. Also survived by sisters-in-law, Bonnie, married to Bill Fisher, Jerome; and Glenda Kay Peterson, Stoystown; special nieces, Marge, married to Michael Fink; and Sally, married to Mike Ramirez, who were at her bedside; and other nieces and nephews, Debbie Leonard; Diane Stalenaker; Denise Kierce; Jerry, Terry, Richard, Rodney, Eddie and Brad Peterson; Vicky Yates; Bobbi Ann Ward; Brenda Spiker; Chris Adder; Holly Purbaugh; Dawn Durst; Patty Schenle; Sonny Kanzler; and Marlene, David and Richard Green; as well as many other relatives. John F. Leosewski, 52, of Houston, Texas, born in Somerset and raised in Gray, after a valiant 25-year battle with cancer, died on Saturday, June 15, 2013. Husband of the late Lynn H. (Van) Leosewski; stepfather of Albert Coleman; son of Joseph and Sue Leosewski; brother of Donna (Dr. Larry) Brown, Antoinette (Joseph Hadobas) Leosewski and Bernadette (Dr. James) Burgess; uncle of Alex, Julia and James. John received his bachelor's degree from West Virginia University and his masters degree in geophysics from Purdue University. John spent his entire professional career with ExxonMobile and in 2012 was the recipient of the prestigious ExxonMobile President's Leadership Award. John loved life. What gave his life meaning were family, friends and faith. He touched many lives with his common decency, warmth and kindness. His great loves were fishing, baseball and Pittsburgh sports. Kevin Lee Thompson, 45, of Rockwood, passed on June 16, 2013. Born Jan. 15, 1968 in Meyersdale, he is the son of Donald and Norma Jean (Phillippi) Thompson of Rockwood. He is preceded in death by his brother Patrick Wayne Thompson and maternal grandparents Sylvester and Alberta (Gross) Phillippi. Kevin is survived by his parents; children Ryan Patrick Thompson and Mollie Margaret Thompson of Rockwood; paternal grandparents Samuel and Betty (Knopsnyder) Thompson of Markleton; and numerous extended family members. He was employed by Seven Springs Resort and loved NASCAR racing and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
