Mae Louise Frazee, 100, of Fort Hill, passed away Friday, May 31, 2013, in Golden Living Center, Meyersdale. She was born Oct. 11, 1912 in Listonburg, a daughter of John and Maud (Matthews) Dridy. Her parents, husband Earl, son William J., and daughter-in-law Marcia Frazee, and a brother Harold Dridy preceded her in death. She is survived by daughters, Carol Blubaugh and husband Don, Meyersdale; Marlene Tissue and husband Max, Hagerstown, Md.; and son, Dean Frazee and wife Debbie, Fort Hill; grandchildren: David Blubaugh, Bill Frazee, Mark Frazee, Brian Tissue, Valerie Ross, Angela Cartron, Michael Frazee, Megan Barlow and Kara Hixson; 14 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Ruth Humbert, Confluence. Louise was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Fort Hill, and a 1931 graduate of Confluence High School. She was a devoted and loving mother and a good neighbor. George A. Rohrbaugh, 85, of Mill Run, who was formerly of York County, died Friday, May 31, 2013 at Highlands Hospital in Connellsville. He was the husband of the late Audrey Jean (Good) Rohrbaugh and was the companion of Aggie Compton, Mill Run. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Wednesday, at the Geiple Funeral Home, Inc., 53 Main Street, Glen Rock, PA, with Rev. Dr. Jason Leader, officiating. Burial will be in St. Jacob's (Stone) Church Cemetery. A viewing will be held from 11 a.m. to noon on Wednesday at the funeral home. Mr. Rohrbaugh was born in Codorus Township, York County, a son of the late Edwin R. and Lovie I. (Bortner) Rohrbaugh. He was a self employed dairy farmer in the White Hall, Md. and New Park (Pa.) area for many years and had worked at the Leader Farms in New Freedom from 1950 until 1982. He had been a member of St. Jacob's Stone UCC in Glenville prior to moving to Mill Run in 1992. He is also survived by two sons, Allen G. Rohrbaugh and Darryl C. Rohrbaugh, both of Somerset, six grandchildren, and a brother, Millard E. Rohrbaugh of Nazareth. Grandmother to Rocco and Matthew DiLoreto, Stephanie (DiLoreto), wife of Shawn Lucas, and Eric DiLoreto and fiancee Heather Rex, and Nikki, wife of Mark Turner IV and great-grandchildren Cole Lucas and Lexi DiLoreto. Bernice "Bernie" Bender Bartholomew, 92, formerly of Salisbury
Bernice "Bernie" Bender Bartholomew, 92, died May 31, 2013, at Emeritus Senior Living in Towson, Md. Born on Aug. 27, 1920, daughter of the late Effie Miller Bender and Mark Twain Bender, Bernice graduated from Salisbury High School in Salisbury. She attended Goshen College and the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. During World War II, Bernice worked as a draftsperson at the Glenn L. Martin Aircraft Company in Baltimore, Md. In 1947 she married Howard Coleman Bartholomew, whom she met at the Martin Company. They moved to Texas in 1948 and raised six children. Upon Howard's retirement, Bernice and Howard moved to Springs and built a log house. Bernice volunteered as a wool spinner at Penn Alps craft village in Grantsville, Md. After Howard's death in 1990, Bernice moved to Albuquerque, N.M. She volunteered at Rancho de las Golondrinas near Santa Fe, N.M. from 1999 to 2010. Bernice learned the art of colcha embroidery, using her own hand-spun and hand-dyed yarns to create artistic scenes of flora and fauna. She moved to Baltimore in 2010. Bernice is survived by daughter and son-in-law Jane and Ian Weir of Rockville, Md.; son John Bartholomew of Austin, Texas; son and daughter-in-law Joe Bartholomew and Christy Sly of Portland, Ore.; daughter and son-in-law Shelley and Michael Treadway of Baltimore; daughter and son-in-law Melissa and John Tanner of Fairfax, Va.; sister Anne Johnson of Fort Worth, Texas; granddaughters Melissa Corrigan of Chicago, Ill., Eve McCabe of Austin, and Anneli, Charlotte, Indie Rice of Albuquerque; grandsons John and Ryan Tanner of Fairfax, Matthew Bartholomew of Austin, Peter Treadway of Baltimore, Michael Weir of Rockville, and Caleb Mangum of Austin, and great-grandchildren Brenna and Matthew McCabe of Austin. She was preceded in death by her husband, her daughter Amy Lynn Bartholomew and her sister, Mary Lois Weaver.
