Wilmer L. Coughenour, 100, Somerset,

Wilmer L. Coughenour, 100, Somerset, passed on Feb. 1, 2013. Born Feb. 27, 1912, in Milford Township, he is the son of the late Harvey and Mary Ellen (Henry) Coughenour. He is also preceded in death by his wife Clova in 2006; son Wayne Coughenour; grandson Shawn Coughenour; brother Glenn Coughenour; and sister Melda Snyder. Wilmer is survived by his children: Jack, married to Helen (Eagle) Coughenour, Rockwood, Carol, married to Carl Schrock, Somerset, Thelma, married to James Miller, Red Lion, Frank, married to Marlene (Stoskel) Coughenour, Washington, and Judy, married to Stanley Krow, Wrightsville; grandchildren: Vicki Sechler, Donna Fox, Paul and Scott Coughenour, Ron Schrock, Ronda Kimmel, Rodney and Robb Schrock, and Derek and Tara Coughenour; 11 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; and sister Alta Keefer of Berlin. Wilmer was a retired employee of the Somerset State Hospital and previously worked as a mechanic and parts salesman at County Auto Equipment in Somerset. He was a 60 year member of the Wills Grange and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Somerset. He enjoyed woodworking after his retirement. Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday at Miller Funeral Home and Crematory, Somerset. A service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Faith Lutheran Church, Somerset, with one hour of visitation prior to the service, the Rev. Jay Shaffer officiating. Interment at Wills Cemetery.
